If you or anyone in your family has an epileptic condition or has had seizures of any kind, consult your physician before playing.
Parents should monitor their children while playing video games. IMMEDIATELY STOP PLAYING and consult your physician before resuming gameplay if you or your child experience any of the following health problems or symptoms:
- Dizziness
- Altered vision
- Eye or muscle twitches
- Loss of awareness
- Disorientation
- Seizures
- Any involuntary movement or convulsion

Safe Gaming Practices to Reduce Seizure Risk
- Consult your physician before playing if you have serious medical conditions, if you are pregnant or elderly, or if you have an implanted medical device
- Avoid playing when you are ill, fatigued, or under the influence of medications or substances
- Play in a well-illuminated area
- Maintain maximum possible distance from the screen
- Use the smallest available screen when possible
- Avoid using headphones at high volume as hearing damage may occur
- Maintain a comfortable posture to prevent numbness, stiffness, or discomfort
- Take regular breaks during gameplay sessions (frequency and duration may vary by individual)
- Discontinue play if you experience any discomfort
Eye Strain and Motion Sickness
Extended video game play may cause eye fatigue and some players may experience motion sickness. Follow these guidelines to minimize these risks:
- Avoid excessive play. Parents should ensure children observe appropriate time limits.
- Take a 10-15 minute break every hour, even if you feel fine.
- If your eyes become tired or sore while playing, or if you feel dizzy or nauseous, stop playing and rest for several hours before resuming.
- If symptoms persist, discontinue play and consult a physician.
Repetitive Motion Injuries
Video games may cause muscle, joint, or skin discomfort. Follow these guidelines to reduce risk of issues such as tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, or skin irritation:
- Avoid prolonged gameplay. Parents should monitor children for appropriate playing durations.
- Take a 10-15 minute break every hour.
- If you experience tingling, numbness, burning, stiffness, or discomfort in your hands, wrists, or arms, stop playing and rest for several hours.
- If symptoms persist during or after play, please go ahead and stop using and consult a physician.
Controller Safety Guidelines
- Stop using the system immediately if you experience fatigue, discomfort, or pain in your hands or arms. If symptoms persist, consult a physician.
- The vibration and trigger effect functions may aggravate existing injuries. Disable these features if you have any ailments affecting your hands or arms' bones, joints, or muscles.
- Limit controller use to sessions of approximately 30 minutes, with breaks in between.
- Note that many games enable vibration or trigger effects by default. These functions can typically be disabled through your device's settings menu.
ALWAYS read, understand, and follow all warnings and instructions for your controller before use.
Vibration Function Warnings
- Do not use vibration functions for pacemakers, defibrillators, programmable shunt valves, or other medical devices.
- Avoid using vibration or trigger effect functions if you have any condition that may be affected by these features or any injuries to your head, bones, joints, or muscles.
- These functions can typically be disabled through your device's settings menu.
Immediately stop using the system and consult a physician if you experience:
- Dizziness, nausea, fatigue, or motion sickness symptoms
- Discomfort or pain in any part of your body, including eyes, ears, hands, or arms
VR Headset Safety Notice
- ALWAYS read, understand, and follow all warnings and instructions your VR headset provides before use.
- Clear your surroundings of obstacles before use and take precautions to prevent pets, children, or other obstacles from entering your play area.
- Some users may experience motion sickness, nausea, disorientation, blurred vision, or discomfort in virtual reality environments. If you experience these symptoms, please immediately stop using and remove the headset.
